As the year comes to a close, most folks are wrapping things up and looking forward to some days off for the holidays. To be able to relax and enjoy your time off, it is essential to finish 2018 strong and start 2019 stronger. As a former college athlete, a little time off to rest was crucial for peak performance the rest of the year. Preparing for your time off and also getting ready to ramp back up again is the only way your days off will feel relaxing and stress-free.
Here are a few tips to wrap up your year strong, while also preparing for 2019:
1. Send end-of-the-year “thank you” emails or emails to reconnect with someone you haven’t spoken with in a while. The end of the year is a perfect time to express gratitude to a client or coworker. It’s also an ideal time to reconnect with a prospect you have not been able to speak with in a while. Most people are winding down the year and are not receiving as many inbounds.
2. De-clutter your workspace and computer. This task may seem simple, but more often than not, your workspace can reflect your efficiency. When you have a clean slate closing up shop in 2018, you can return in the new year confident and ready to work in a tidy space both in your office and on your computer.
By executing these few simple tips, you’ll finish 2018 strong and be ready for 2019 before you head off for the holidays.
