I came across an article that really stuck with me, by Robert Glazer, Founder & CEO of Acceleration Partners relating to “Success Disease.” It talks about victories and how to best handle them. “Success Disease” is when you have a victory and become overly confident, arrogant and in turn, feel as though you do not need to push as hard next time to get there again. Treating victories this way will cause you to only have that victory once.
Success is a continuous process and just because you reach it once, does not mean you will achieve it as easily the second time. Don’t ever forget the effort it took to get you where you are.
When you have a victory, celebrate your win but don’t stay off the horse for too long or you may never ride again.
