Bill Hudson Partner, Heidrick & Struggles
Bill Hudson is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Washington, D.C. office and a senior advisor to the Social Impact Practice. He focuses on serving the trade and professional association market and collaborating with boards and CEOs to provide culture-shaping, succession planning, and recruitment advisory services.
Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Bill was president and CEO of the Global Cold Chain Affiance (GCCA), a partnership of organizations dedicated to the distribution of food commodities worldwide. Under Bill's leadership, GCCA evolved into a global organization with members in sixty-seven countries and a structure of offices to serve them. Bill grew GCCA's membership to a position representing more than 90% of North America's industry. Through the World Food Logistics Organization, one of GCCA’s core foundations, Bill initiated partnerships with USDA, USAID, USTDA and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to address post-harvest challenges and build the food distribution infrastructure in numerous emerging and developing countries.
In recognition of his success as an association CEO, Bill was named as one of the "Top 50 Trade Association Leaders" by Washingtonian Magazine. He has served as a board member of the American Society of Association Executives and was the founding chairman of the Foundation for International Meetings.
Bill earned a law degree and a BA from Louisiana State University and is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Washington, D.C. Bar Association.
