Christina Martin Senior Association Executive
Christina Martin is a trade association management and communications strategist. Most recently, Christina served as the Executive Vice President of the Corn Refiners Association (CRA) and originator of the Plant Based Product Council.
While at CRA her responsibilities included integrating policy, government relations, and communications for more effective advocacy as well as an award-winning branding and social media campaign. Additionally, she also handled membership, strategic planning, budgeting, and aspects of operations/IT.
She has long experience in the Association space including, Executive Vice President of the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA); Senior Managing Director, Global Strategic Communications, for the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) and its predecessor organization, the Securities Industry Association (SIA), which the Wall Street Journal recognized as “Wall Street’s leading trade group.” She was the first woman to serve on the management committee of both SIFMA & SIA.
Christina has been recognized by CEO Update as an “Up & Comer”, “the next generation of association CEOs”. Previously, Christina held the positions of Executive Vice President for Powell Tate|Weber Shandwick, the world’s largest public relations agency at the time, and Senior Vice President for Public Affairs and Communications for the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA – The Wireless Association). She began in career in various communications roles for the White House, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Governor of Iowa, and three presidential campaigns.
Christina holds a degree in Economics from the University of Kansas. She was a Fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government’s Institute of Politics and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Green Seal, the nation's premiere science-based eco-label.
